This site does not require an account, sign-up, or login. Reading and Writing practice happens entirely in your browser — your answers, timer state, and any draft you write are held in memory while the page is open and are not sent to or stored on any server. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.
Speaking practice works the same way, including the microphone: if you use the "Record" buttons, your browser asks your permission to use your microphone, the recording is created and played back entirely on your own device, and it is never uploaded or sent anywhere. Closing or refreshing the page deletes it.
This site is hosted on Vercel, which, like virtually all web hosts, automatically logs standard request information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for operating and securing the service. We don't separately collect or analyze this.
This site loads its typefaces (Fraunces, IBM Plex Sans) from Google Fonts. Loading a font from Google's servers sends your browser's IP address to Google, the same as loading an image from any external site. We use this only to display the fonts correctly.
This site does not currently run any advertising. If and when advertising (Google AdSense) is added, this policy will be updated before that happens to explain what cookies or identifiers are used, and visitors in the UK, EU and Switzerland will be shown a consent choice before any personalized ads are served.
This site does not currently set cookies or use browser storage to track visitors. If that changes — for example, to remember your progress between visits — this policy will be updated to describe exactly what's stored and why.
